World Moving services is VERY misleading... Watch out, PLEASE READ!! I read the reviews, but still took a chance to go with them (dont as me why)... Lamar (my agent) seemed so nice, and helpful, he told me everything I wanted to hear. Made me A LOT of promises that he did not keep. I even questioned him about the things I read on here, he ALWAYS put my mind at ease. This company is only a "BOOKING AGENT" they don't tell you this... but they hire CHEAP, not BBB accredited moving companies to move you (unless you are smart enough to call them out about this!). You will not know the company until a couple days beforehand, make sure you ask what is the NAME of the company because most of the companies they book are not BBB accredited!! 72 hours before I moved, I threw a fit because the company they booked me with was terrible (rated F by BBB)! My agent (Lamar) told me everything would be fixed and they would book me with a BBB accredited company, well they did and I was relieved (this only lasted for a few hours). Then 48 hours before my move WMS calls me and says I got switched to ANOTHER moving company (after the told me I was set to be with this BBB accredited company). The new company was also NOT BBB accredited, and had terrible reviews. I was so upset, Lamar (my agent promised he'd be here for me through everything) did not return any of my calls/emails (and this is 48 hours before I move across the COUNTRY!!) I have been moved in now for about a week, and still have not heard from my "reliable" agent Lamar. Needless to say I was now at the mercy of "customer service" for World Moving Services, these people are so RUDE. The one guy, Ben(if that is even his name), actually gave me two false extension numbers because I demanded to speak with a supervisor! I actually had to call call the second moving company MYSELF and ask them why I got bumped off their list... and beg them to move me because I wanted a company that was accredited! Luckily the guy helped me out A LOT and told me what I needed to do in order to get WMS to book them again for me. This was NOT something I should have been worrying about 48 hours before my move. I didn't have my "trusty" agent helping me at all, I was so upset and the movers hadn't even come at this point... SAVE yourself the worry people and book with an ACTUAL MOVER! Research them on BBB and do NOT go with World Moving services...because they are merely a booking agent, trying to find the cheapest movers so they profit more... they could care less who moves you, as long as they make money! DON'T TAKE THE GAMBLE I TOOK!
