Review 5/24/2008

Scandinavian services presented me with a low ball misleading and inaccurate repair estimate for my 2001 Caravan, which I agreed to. Four days later, the price was increased $500, which I refused, instead decided to donate it to a charity. Gert Lindner, the owner, refused to release the van, instead holding it in the work bay elevated on a ramp and charging me additional fees for storage and reassembly. I was forced to sign title of the van to Gert's wife, Helen malindner. I was forced to enter the work bay and climb up into my elevated van to retrieve the contents Gert also refused to release automotive repair records on our 3 other vehicles to another shop at our request. After an investigation, Bureau of Automotive Repair cited Scandinavian services for "switch and bait" tactics. (Matthew, investigator 661-702-6600) I won a Small Claims judgement on 4/30/08, in which Scandinavian Services even countersued $1500,though he took my van. (Case # 56-2008-00314655-SC-SC-SIM) On 5/05/08, we were informed by Allstate Insurance, the van was involved in a hit and run. Scandinavian Service never registered or insured the van.

Mrs. Hillary Levy, please be honest and don't lie to the public, you didn't get a judgement against us and we were not cited by Bureau of Auto Repair for anything. We did give the Bureau of Auto Repair all the facts regarding your vehicle history here. It is kind of sad that you were coming to our facility for 17 years and one thing happens with one of your cars (due to owner neglect), and you blaming us for the entire situation. It is too bad you made the decision and had a change of heart after the job got started, we really did tried very hard to please you. We're sorry that we can't please you all the time.
