I went to an "Oriental & European fine arts auction" with my family hosted by Prime Auctioneers Inc. yesterday in Milpitas. In the flyers, the company address is 14620 Keswick Street, Van Nuys, CA 91405. I am not sure if that's the same company as this one.
I can't say too much of the whole auction process because I am not familiar. But, At the end, when I paid and picked up the items, there's a very old guy, writing invoice by hand at the check out counter. I completely trusted him, but, when I got home, I found he added $100 to an item I bided in the voice. I am so upset, but, I don't know if there's anything I can do.
In the auction place, I was warned by a lady said that this old guy tried to put $200 more on an item an elderly man bided. The elderly men eventually found out and was very upset. I was so distracted with my kid around and couple of people behind me. I am very sure the old guy did intentionally and he will do it again and again.
Please spread my words and be careful to this kind of auction scam.
