I am a Mom from Boston with a son in the USAF located currently in Texas. As my son is now able to get more independence and instead of buying another car, we began looking into transporting his existing car to him. I was clueless to this procedure and did not know anyone who has ever transported a car before so I was on my own. I received 5 company inquiries back, 4 actually quoted prices. The price range from all vendors ran between $785 - to $930 for the same job. I admit being nervous about considering the low offer, but Nationwide Auto Transporters turned out not only to being the lowest pricing, but also the most direct and personable company to deal with. I spoke to the same individual thru the entire process, which made me very comfortable. When I inquired about a Military discount, they were very accomodating and took $60. from the quote. As a military family now we are aware of how little beginning service personnel are paid so this meant so much to us. Our pricing was for a fully insured 3-5 day travel from Boston to Wichita Falls Texas, all taxes, tolls and fuel included. I gave a $100. deposit to secure the quote and then you sign the agreement form and either email back the scanned copy or fax it back to the company, thus now securing your move order. Remember, you may have a time contraint and until you submit your $100. deposit your date may be compromised, so if you want a certain date for pick up ensure to work with your Moving Consultant to processing this form exchange. I picked a date (which was within the following week) and 24 hours prior the driver called to set up pick up directions. The driver was very concientious with me as dropping off the car was a very emotional time for me as I was losing a piece of connection with my boy, the car had been parked as he left it 7 months prior. The driver checks the car thoroughly for dents/scratches etc and I also agreed by signing his form. NOTE: At this time you will have to review a whole new agreement which is similiar to Nationwide Auto Transport, but a 2nd party agreement, which was slightly different as to the agreements I had more time to study previously, so read carefully at pick up. He secured the car down very well and delivered it much to the delight of my airman on time 5 days later. The driver kept in communication with myself and my son to ensure his whereabouts on route and his pick up directions were to a T, and that at pick up the remainder of the fee was to be paid in cash. The car abeit being a bit dirty, was in the same condition as it was when it drove up on the car carrier. I would certainly use this company again. I was in a quandry in choosing between 4-5 stars but am going for the full 5 stars as the car got there in the same condition and on time and the driver was available the one time I wanted to connect to find out what state he was in.
