AVOID AT ALL COSTS
|
I'm with a business in LA who has had a contract for Preventative Maintenance with Greenstar's predecessors since 2008. When ARS Greenstar took over, the service went off a cliff.
In 2019, Greenstar came by for a service call for our main A/C unit where the technician noted that the PM had not been done, or had been seriously under scope, for a significant period of time, resulting in over $1000 worth of repairs, even with the Greenclub "discount". We disputed the charge, as the damage was, as according to the tech's notes to us, due to negligent maintenance. We were told management from Greenstar would be reaching out to us.
Management never reached out to us. EVERY communication between our business and Greenstar was initiated by us. When asked to resolve the issue of the $1k+ invoice and the service resulting from negligent maintenance, the service department instructed us to talk to billing and billing said they needed service's approval of modifying the scope of work and/or granting "discounts".
This went back and forth since Sept. 2019 until June 2020, where we finally got in touch with someone (we thought) could help us. We were told they didn't have prior service records, our contract price, and more. In the middle of working out the issues, they just tossed our invoice into collections and the collection company said we could "no longer communicate" with Greenstar. We (multiple people in our company) tried escalating the issues to their main corporate office and I EVENTUALLY got in touch with someone from their Corporate Customer Assurance dept. who had ALL of our service records and ALL of our contract details. After my initial conversation, they too dropped all communications, even after promising a call back within 24-48 hours.
DO NOT USE GREENSTAR. They will not perform the scheduled, contracted maintenance. When parts fail due to lack of maintenance, they will CHARGE YOU to repair their own negligence. Then if you try to dispute this, they will DELAY DELAY DELAY and shift the blame within their company until their accounting department sends it to collections then tell you they can't talk to you. Their corporate office will not help you. They're perfectly content leaving you on the hook for damage resulting from their own negligent service.
