These annoying people phone every few weeks asking for the "shipping person" and I've gotten to enjoy screwing with the callers. I'm very familiar with the scam. If you really want to confuse them or stop them cold, sound interested and then start asking
questions - LOTS of questions - Where are they located? Where in California? What's the address? You don't know the address you work at? What's the phone number? Can I call you right back? What's your name? How do I know that's your real name? etc. Some of
them stay with it pretty long giving vague answers all the way, but most just panic and get tongue-tied then hang up.
