Review 9/2/2010

I have had billing problems since I went there in June. They told me I need a mouth guard which they sell for over $700 and which I was TOLD I only had to pay about half. Then the Insurance company denied the claim because I hadn't had oral surgery in the 6 months preceding the day they provided the service. Now the billing company is telling me that I'm responsible for the balance of almost $250 plus some other charges that were denied for a total of over $265.60! Turns out you can get a mouth guard at local pharmacies for less than $30. Obviously they asked me to have services done that I didn't need just so they could boost their bottom line, and they weren't careful about determining insurance coverage and expect me to pay the difference. Now their billing company is telling me that I'm responsible for contacting the insurance company and getting the claim paid or they are going to make me pay the balance. So I call the Office Manager Eric and he's a real jerk - baiting me and aggravating me unnecessarily. He caused me a lot of anguish. That's the main reason I'm giving them a very poor rating. This guy is atrocious. He thinks he's smart but when he reads this review he'll figure out that he made a big mistake. He shouldn't be talking to customers at all. My advice is to stay away from this place. I canceled my next appointment. I'm going to find a better dental office to work with.
