First, I am not the kind of person who would go out his way write a letter but I felt it was important to tell you about my experience with Caring Cars. We were moving and at the last moment we decided to donate our RV, to say the least we were on a very tight time schedule. I called Caring Cars and explained what was going on, I had a 15 year old Class A motor home that has been in storage for a little over 2 ½ years it wasn’t running anymore and due to the current economic situation I was about 6 months behind on the storage fees and the fees were adding up quickly. When I called Caring Cars I felt they genuinely cared about my situation, being an accountant by trade I am very cautious and meticulous, I asked every possible question and I researched them as well, I was impressed with their attention to detail and their extensive knowledge of tax laws all of which I verified to be correct regarding IRS significant material improvements and appraisal certification. I was very impressed with their attention to detail and how they explained their reconditioning process, with that process of Caring Cars completing material improvements I was able to realize a 40% higher deduction than any other donation service which in the end was true. Almost all other donation services just send their donations off to the auction which may be a questionable tactic as per IRS rulings of which I had great concern over.
They worked with me and then they did something that was First Class, they contacted the storage company and as part of my donation they paid all the back fees. They had the RV picked up within 24 hours and my favorite charity (Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer research fund) will be the beneficiary of much needed funds. They kept me updated thru out the whole process and I got a much better than expected tax deduction. I would gladly recommend them to anyone with complete confidence.
