Review 3/25/2011

I used Benchmark Email from Nov. 2010 to Feb. 2011 and would like to share my experience I had with them. My first issue was the amount of emails being bounced. I tested a few of my friends emails with one of the email batches I sent out and 2 of emails that I know were working emails, got bounced. So, after the first month I decided to discontinue my subscription with Benchmark Email. This is where the big issue starts. The only way to drop your subscription is on there website which I did. The next month I was charged again. I called Benchmark Email and demanded a refund and to discontinue my subscription. They said I must of did something wrong because they didn't receive a cancellation notice and wouldn't issue a refund. So, I got step by step instructions how to cancel my subscription on their website and I followed them exactly and got a confirmation page at the end of the process. Again, the next month I was charged again. I called Benchmark again and still got the go around, this time they said they needed the confirmation code that was on the confirmation page in order to cancel my subscription. Benchmark Email still would not cancel my subscription over the phone and refused to issue a refund. I am a 25 year old web designer who is very familiar with computers so I know I cancelled my subscription the right way, they just refused to cancel it. This company is not trustworthy and has very unfriendly customer service.
