The dealer sold me a car under the impression that the car was good. on my way home from the dealer right after purchasing the transmission went out. The dealer has had my car for almost 2 weeks. refuse to fix it and they sent me to a mechanic's shop where they were suppose to be fixing my car and the car was not there. Please help! I need to do something, these crooks can't continue to operate in our community.

Hi Maria,
It would depend on what your warranty/sales contract states to determine the responsibility of the dealer in this case, but you may wish to file a complaint with the BBB by clicking on "View BBB Report" and then "File a Complaint" on the left hand side. You can also contact the DMV Investigations department. Here is a list of their locations in California: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/fo/fotocinv.htm

I bought the car and within an hour it broke down so it does fall under warranty but the dealer refuses to fix it. its been 11 days and I dont even know where the car is. I keep getting told one lie after another. I tried to file a complaint with BBB but I got an error message that said they couldnt find the business. What can I do/ Please help.
